We've only replaced one gaiter so far, but I have some older boots that I want to have ready to go as emergency replacements. They're certainly cheaper than replacing the entire boot (not to mention keeping a boot that's already been heat fitted to your horse), but the first one was certainly not easy to replace and required my husband's hand strength and the assistance of a pair of gripper plyers.
